Witchcraft Broken in Achelel, Uganda

Testimony Report from Pastor Adams Sabila, LifeBridge Relational Partner
For generations, the village of Achelel had been gripped by darkness. A well-known sorcerer ruled through fear, using demonic forces to oppress the community. When the gospel arrived—bringing the living Water Message through fresh, clean water—this man made a chilling declaration:
“The people will never receive water as long as I live.” After many challenges, the team stood firm in faith. Together with our global partners, we prayed over the well, believing God for a mighty breakthrough. Then, supernatural events began to unfold—clear signs of the battle between light and darkness.
On the first day of the solar pump installation, Pastor David witnessed something shocking: a large snake emerged from the well and slithered away swiftly. The villagers, bound by fear, hesitated to kill it, knowing serpents had long been tied to spiritual bondage in the region.
On the second day, another unsettling sign appeared. A smaller snake was discovered inside the jacket of a team member, hidden among his clothing as he worked near the well.
But on the third day, God delivered a powerful declaration of victory. As the installation was completed and the community gathered to collect water, a mighty eagle appeared, soaring over the well. Suddenly, it dropped a dead snake—its head completely eaten away!
The entire community witnessed it. This was no coincidence—it was a prophetic sign! The head of the serpent had been crushed, just as God promised in
Genesis 3:15:“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
At that moment, everyone knew—the power of witchcraft had been broken! The demonic stronghold over Achelel was shattered, and living water—both physical and spiritual—had finally come to the people. Glory to God! The victory is won!
